  1. Norma E. Anderson MD
  2. Atsushi Matsubara MD
Atsushi Matsubara, MD is a family physician board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.  He completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 1997.  Following his residency, he practiced in Weldon and Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina until 1999, then in Mission, Texas until 2006, when he and his wife, Dr. Anderson, moved to Round Rock, Texas to open their private practice.

Dr Matsubara was born in Japan and completed his undergraduate and medical school degrees at Japan's top-ranked institution, Keio University in Tokyo, where he was president of his medical school class.

What he enjoys most about the practice of medicine is helping each individual patient understand how the body works, how and why various diseases occur, and what each person can do to optimize his or her health.

In his free time, Dr. Matsubara enjoys playing with his 3 children, walking the dogs, swimming, and tending his orchids.  In his past life, he was an avid amateur photographer and loved to travel.

Norma Anderson, MD is a family physician, board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.  Culminating her undergraduate studies, she graduated as the Founder’s Medalist for the Class of Arts and Science at Vanderbilt University.  Then she attended the University of Tennessee for medical school where her peers chose her for the Tony Ficalora award for Excellence in
Patient Care.  She completed her Family Medicine residency in 1995 in Santa Rosa, California, at Community Hospital (which later joined Sutter Medical Center), affiliated with the University of California at San Francisco.  She practiced in Cedar Rapids, Iowa until 1997, then Rich Square and Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina until 1999, then in Mission, Texas until 2006, when she and Dr Matsubara moved to Round Rock, Texas to open their practice.

Dr. Anderson especially enjoys the personal connection she makes with her patients and the privilege of sharing in their lives.  She values the opportunity to take care of a great diversity of people.  As a woman physician, she tends to see many women for annual exams and other women's health issues and especially enjoys this aspect of her practice, though she enjoys working with her men patients as well.  A central interest is preventive healthcare, including encouraging people to walk and make healthy food choices.

In her free time, Dr. Anderson enjoys playing with the kids, walking and hiking, cooking, and reading.  Travel made fond memories from years past.
